Extended Warranty

Almost 31 years after it was launched, Pioneer 10 stopped sending signals to earth. The spacecraft was launched in 1972, and in 1983, it became the first man-made object to leave the solar system. Remarkably, although it was only intended for a 21-month mission, it continued to send data from an unfathomable 7.6 billion miles away.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory recieved its last signal on January 22, and they have now stopped trying to contact it.
