Watching the Watcher

by Joe on May 22, 2003

For years, we have looked up into the sky; at the moon, the sun, the stars and the other planets. Now we have for the first time pictures of what Earth looks like from Mars. NASA’s Mars Global Surveryor spacecraft orbiting Mars snapped a few shots of home last week.

From a distance of 86 Million Miles, the Earth looks alot like the other planets do from Earth; a blurry sphere with light and dark areas reflecting the sunlight. It makes you wonder what wonderful detail we may be missing when we look at the surface of, say, Neptune.
