Joe Taiabjee
Background
Joe Taiabjee has been a pioneer in the Internet revolution, working on Internet technology since 1990. He has designed the front and back end technology for large scale web operations such as NetStar Communications, CTV Interactive, Bell Globemedia Interactive and Green Living Enterprises. Through his work at Exposoft, he has directed the creation of web applications for some of the worlds largest events.
Work
Today, Joe is the Director of Technology at b5media, a global network of 300+ blogs covering topics as diverse as Technology, Celebrities, Business and Sports. A Wordpress-powered organization, the team at b5media work to scale the blogging infrastructure to service 10 Million unique visitors and 30 Million pageviews per month.
Specializing in high-traffic and scalability, he combines the Internet Architecture of two and three-tiered systems with effective front and back-end software development, specifically designed to handle these heavy traffic loads. TSN.ca currently averages over 3 Million pageviews daily, and spikes to over 14 Million page views a day. At Exposoft, he oversaw the team which created a fully featured web application to organize 1.2 million participants of the World Youth Day event in Germany.
Joe has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of Western Ontario. He has been involved with the Internet community through the Association of Web Professionals, and the technology community through Centennial College.
