Hybrid Pics

Sorry for the delay, but a week of rain and drizzle don’t make for very nice pictures. Here’s my new hybrid!

Got it!

My Escape Hybrid has arrived! I’ve gotta say that the experience is really cool. At stoplights it’s both satisfying and eerie how quiet it is! I’ve been keeping the heating fan off just to enhance the quiet, even though we’re in a cold snap here in Toronto. The eCVT has an interesting side effect. Normally, Read More

Almost here

I got an email from my dealership today. Their first Ford Escape Hybrid has been delivered. I’m second on the list, and it should be “soon” – whatever that means. Can’t wait!

Going Green

I took the plunge! I put in my order for a 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid (in Titanium Green of course)! When I take delivery this October, I will have one of only 4,000 being built in North America, and one of about 50 in the Toronto area. Now that I am commuting significant distances for Read More

I’ve finally moved up to 2001 technology and got myself an iPod (well, actually my wife got one from work that I have confiscated)! Okay, as much as Apple sucks at marketing Operating Systems (Sorry JK, but its true), they do the hardware thing really well. The aftermarket community is thriving too. Griffin has many Read More

Year of the Hybrid

With gas prices high, and staying high, hybrid electric vehicles are coming into thier own. It started back in 1999 with the Honda Insight, followed closely by the Toyota Prius. Last year, Honda introduced a hybrid version of the Civic and this week, Ford began production on the Ford Escape Hybrid. This year looks like Read More

Back…

Back with a vengence! All settled in the new job, and loving it. It’s a fun, high growth group with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. All settled and married to my wonderful new wife. I never realized how much planning and juggling had to go into something as simple as a wedding. It was, Read More

Break from Break

Okay, too much happening to stay away, so I’ll just list some of the highlights. SpaceShipOne has made it’s first flight. They need to make a second flight within 2 weeks for the XPrize, but although the first flight did make it above the required 100km (it got to 100.12km), they did so despite some Read More
